I even discussed the Ballard endorsement with Trent and expressed my concerns to him that Ballard, aptly described by you as the "quintessential status quo'er," would have too much influence on how Trent saw his job as a School Board member. Trent's response was to post a photo of the pair on his website. I have heard from other good and wise people who have suggested that I misjudged this race. I hope that no matter the outcome, Glen and Trent will find ways to work together for the good of the city and our schools.

You are right. I do have differences of opinion on various positions that each of the candidates expressed, but what all candidates have in common is a passionate desire to reform Richmond Public Schools and bring greater accountability that will place the needs of the children and teachers first and foremost. While quintessential status quo'er Dave Ballard endorsed Trent, Trent seems to be much more in line with your views of taking a harder look at the budget and making fundamental changes. Glen may bring a lot to the table, but some of his positions (such as wishing proceeds from the sale of a capital asset--ie: the old Community High could be used for ongoing operating costs, among others) don't seem to be in line with where I think you are on some topics, and for good governance in general.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13214798733906249536noreply@blogger.com
