The Superintendent's Dream4RPS plan costs $13.76 million this year and that is included in the currently proposed budget.
Next year the need goes up to $31.95m, then $45.22m, and then $58.1m.
I asked him if there is a plan for the funding of the following 3 years and what will happen if his plan doesn't get fully funded next year? I didn't get an answer.
Shouldn't we make a plan now for funding it if it is going to be tried? Will he just come back each year asking for an even bigger budget increase? The Mayor says there are no cuts to be found, so does that mean a tax increase every year to fund this?
Maybe someone from the press, Council, or School Board can ask so there can be an answer.
